Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate various CNC machinery, including mills, lathes, and grinders, to produce precision components that meet or exceed customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in CNC machining, possess a strong understanding of machine operations, and demonstrate attention to detail in verifying the quality of finished products. This position is for the 2nd shift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and interpret operational documentation, including blueprints and mechanical drawings, to produce parts that meet precise customer specifications.
- Set up fixtures, tools, grinding wheels, and materials on various CNC equipment, such as mills, lathes, and grinders, to complete necessary machining tasks.
- Apply knowledge of machine operations, including linear and rotary axis functions, along with G and M code programming, to operate CNC machines effectively.
- Operate CNC equipment for a range of tasks, including flat surface and creep-feed grinding, milling, drilling, tapping, and both horizontal and vertical lathe operations.
- Confirm finished products align with quality and specification standards by using micrometers, calipers, gauges, optical comparators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Interpret CMM reports to make necessary adjustments to machine settings, ensuring dimensional accuracy.
- Deburr components to specified tolerances and utilize overhead cranes when necessary.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least one year of hands-on experience in CNC machining, (mills, lathes, grinders).
- Proficient in basic math skills to assist in measurements and calculations.
- Must meet U.S. work authorization requirements, including citizenship or permanent residency.
