Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Northern California
Job Summary:
Our client, a respected hospital in Northern California, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their healthcare team. The CNA will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting nursing staff and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility.
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Provide basic patient care, including changing linens, assisting with toileting, and ensuring overall patient comfort.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to address patient needs and concerns.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records, documenting care provided.
- Assist in the preparation of medical equipment and support nursing staff during procedures.
- Adhere to all infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Report changes in a patient’s condition to the supervising nurse or physician promptly.
Qualifications:
- Active California CNA Certification required.
- Current BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association preferred).
- Prior experience in a hospital, long-term care, or clinical setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Starting salary: $22/hour, with experienced CNAs earning up to $25/hour.
