Magellan Aerospace Haverhill has an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented CMM Inspector. The successful candidate in this position will perform daily In Process inspection operations, setup CMM Equipment as part of their essential daily work. The individual will also be responsible for training other inspectors, and providing technical guidance on the measuring and monitoring of production articles.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection of production parts utilizing CMM equipment, manual gages and fixtures
  • Assist in training Inspection personnel on operation of CMM equipment, manual gages and fixtures
  • Provide technical expertise in the operation of CMM programs and equipment.
  • As the technical support this role may edit an off-line CMM program demonstrating a significant deviation, after doing root cause analysis to determine the contributing factor
  • The CMM Technical Support may elect to disregard and re-run a program run in the CMM room with an invalid result if it is determined to be caused by an assignable event.
  • Assure the maintenance and proper operation of CMM programs and equipment.
  • Although live editing of programs is not permitted, if during calibration of the equipment a concern is noted with the program or probe, correction would be permitted

Position Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Extensive knowledge of GD&T.
  • Advanced knowledge of CMM equipment and programming
  • Ability to work well and share knowledge with team members
  • Ability to work independently at multiple tasks and allocate time efficiently
