Position Overview
We are currently hiring for a dedicated culinary professional for our location in Chester, New Jersey. This role assists in the development of menus for eating disorder patients in conjunction with Lead Chef and Registered Dieticians, Also maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively in a structured setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve meals in accordance with menu plans and dietary guidelines
  • Assist with menu planning and collaborate with team members on meal development
  • Ensure all food is prepared, stored, and served in compliance with health and safety standards
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and food service areas
  • Order and manage inventory of food and kitchen supplies
  • Minimize food waste and ensure proper storage of perishable items
  • Ensure timely meal preparation to meet scheduled service times
  • Maintain and monitor kitchen equipment to ensure proper functionality
  • Supervise and support kitchen staff as needed
  • Complete required documentation and maintain accurate records

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Culinary certification
  • Culinary certification
  • Certifications: SERV Safe certification preferred; Valid driver’s license
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in a professional kitchen or food service environment preferred
  • Strong background in food preparation, sanitation, and kitchen operations

  • Ability to safely use standard kitchen equipment and tools
