Business Litigation Associate Attorney

Salary: $240,000.00 - $310,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive case management from inception to resolution
  • Handle rigorous discovery processes, draft substantive legal documents, and lead argumentation on motions
  • Prepare for and conduct depositions, managing pre-trial and trial activities, and coordinate with clients and partners on legal strategy
  • Navigate multiple cases simultaneously in both state and federal jurisdictions
  • Engage in settlement negotiations and mediation, providing adept legal and tactical advice
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal support staff to uphold the firm's standards of excellence and client satisfaction

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active and good standing Bar Admission in Florida
  • 2-4 years of experience in complex business litigation, with hands-on practice in both state and federal courts
  • Demonstrable skills in legal research, drafting legal documents, and effective oral advocacy
  • Proven ability to handle intensive discovery and deposition processes
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude in a team-based setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience at a large law firm or in a similar high-volume litigation setting
  • Trial preparation and courtroom experience
  • Proven track record of settling complex litigations effectively
  • Aptitude for strategic planning and case management
  • Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor less experienced attorneys and legal staff
