Position Summary

As a member of the Corporate MOS™ team, the Planning & Operations Analyst will work to establish & monitor adherence to Magellan best practices, solve problems, and take action to improve business performance. This role provides diverse hands-on experience at both the corporate and divisional levels while developing management and leadership skills, and positions the individual for rapid growth within the organization. This is a permanent full-time position based out of the corporate office in Mississauga, Ontario.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on operational audits of each division (auditing to MOS™ standards for all business functions including S&OP, Production Control, Customer Service, etc.); travelling as necessary to the Magellan sites worldwide
• Develop detailed reports, present conclusions and recommendations to senior corporate and divisional staff; identify improvement opportunities and assist in implementing solutions
• Conduct in depth analysis to identify the root cause of problems and direct improvement efforts
• Participate in continuous improvement / business improvement events or projects to improve processes and business performance (eg. Master scheduling and production planning, Capacity Planning, Inventory Reduction, On-Time performance, etc.)
• Provide consultation and support to divisions as necessary (eg. Planning & Scheduling, Inventory Management, analysis etc.)
• Create best practice processes & tools to improve performance and compliance
• Develop guidance materials to train staff on MOS™ best practices
• Contribute to the management of Corporate-wide KPI’s and reporting

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business Administration, or Management
• Master’s degree an asset
• Ideally have 2+ years’ experience as a hands on practitioner in one or more of the following areas: Production Planning, Master Scheduling, Operations, Supply Chain, Production Control, Continual Improvement
• Experience using Continuous Improvement tools and Lean Six Sigma, as well as a LEAN Six Sigma certification is preferred
• 3+ years manufacturing experience an asset
• Experience using ERP systems is an asset
• APICS CPIM certification would be an asset
• Frequent travel involved - typically 25-50%
• High proficiency with MS Office Suite (superior Excel and PowerPoint skills)
• Dual Canadian/US, or Canadian/UK Citizenship would be an asset
