About the Role
A fast-growing digital marketing and demand generation agency is seeking a highly motivated Business Growth Associate to join the team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving new client acquisition, expanding existing accounts, and supporting overall business growth. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about sales, digital marketing, and building strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development
- Build, manage, and close a pipeline of prospective clients using LinkedIn outreach, Zoom meetings, cold calling, and self-generated opportunities.
- Conduct client needs assessments and collaborate with the internal team to create tailored digital marketing proposals and strategies.
- Develop and present customized proposals; build and manage contracts through CRM platforms and Ignition App.
- Consistently meet or exceed individual sales targets and KPIs.
Client Success and Expansion
- Support client onboarding, kickoff calls, and strategy sessions to ensure a smooth transition from sales to service delivery.
- Maintain and strengthen client relationships alongside the Demand Generation team.
- Regularly engage with existing clients to offer strategic check-ins, provide added value, and identify opportunities for upselling additional services.
Brand Promotion and Representation
- Represent the agency at client meetings, business development events, and industry tradeshows.
- Serve as a brand ambassador to promote the agency’s mission, services, and values.
Strategic and Administrative Duties
- Attend and contribute to internal strategy and growth meetings.
- Maintain accurate CRM updates, client communication records, and assist with proposal development and administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in B2B sales, client success, or business development (preferably within marketing, advertising, or digital services sectors).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills (in-person, Zoom, telephone).
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Proficient with CRM systems; experience with Ignition App is a strong asset.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
- Committed to continuous learning and development (participation in quarterly "Book of the Quarter" program).
- Resides in Ottawa or the surrounding area to attend occasional in-person meetings.
Other Information
- Full-time remote position (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST).
- Occasional evening or weekend event participation may be required with advance notice.
- 3-month probationary period applies.
- Employment will be governed by the laws of Ontario.
