The Business Execution Support Specialist provides analytical, data-driven support to the OSBP, focusing on program performance monitoring, industrial analysis, and execution of small business initiatives. This role helps the OSBP make informed decisions to maximize small business participation in DHA acquisitions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Business Execution Support Specialist will:

  • Assist in transforming OSBP into a data-driven organization by using analytical tools for real-time visibility into performance metrics and in-depth analysis of small business performance drivers.
  • Support evaluation of strategic planning initiatives and establishment of annual small business goals.
  • Monitor and distribute daily communications from OSBP electronic mailboxes, public media, and government sources; compile salient facts and disseminate industry-related news.
  • Prepare weekly small business achievement reports on program execution.
  • Generate semi-annual reports on subcontracting achievements.
  • Conduct needs assessments, draft content, and coordinate reviews for policy issuance and implementation, drawing from legislative, FAR/DFARS, and other sources.
  • Maintain compliance with reporting requirements, including monthly staffing updates and progress reports.

Education and/or Experience

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in federal procurement, small business programs, or data analysis, with knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and DoD small business regulations.
  • Proficiency in analytical tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, or similar) for metrics tracking and reporting.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to handle sensitive information.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a favorable background investigation.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with DoD acquisition strategies and small business goal setting.
  • Familiarity with government databases (e.g., FPDS-NG for federal procurement data).
  • Certification in Data Analysis or Business Analytics.
