Our client, a top tier law firm, is seeking a Business Director to join their team in their Albany, New York office. This is a senior level position which requires a strategic leader who is an innovative thinker with the natural ability to influence and motivate others and who will lead by example. The person in this role will manage the daily operations and administration for close to 50 staff (attorneys plus legal and administrative staff). This position involves close collaboration with the firm’s management. Candidates must have exceptional business acumen to include uncompromising integrity, sound leadership experience, excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, a keen approach to problem-solving, and the ability to effectively manage change.

Responsibilities for this position will include, but not be limited to, collaboratively managing accounting/finance/revenue management functions, human resources, attorney recruiting, office budgeting, marketing, technology support, records management, space expansion and renovation efforts and facilities management.

Qualifications and prior experience required for this position:

Candidates must have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience, and a minimum of 10 years experience in a management or leadership position in a professional services organization. This key role requires an individual with a strong working knowledge of accounting and finance practices to manage the affairs of the office. The successful candidate must have strong business experience in finance, human resources, marketing, technology, and facilities management. Candidates MUST have a stable work history and stellar professional references to be considered.
