Business Development - Mid South

Ag 1 Source is looking for a business development rep to work with independent ag retailers throughout the Mid South region of the US.

This role needs to have someone who is very familiar with fertilizer and fertilizer enhancement type products, who is also familiar with the independent or regional ag retailers across this area.

Our client is introducing an exciting new product in fertilizer as well as continuing to grow their other product line. This role will grow sales by educating growers, retail agronomy organizations, crop consultants, on how your products will help them reduce costs and improve product efficiency, yields and harvest quality. You will work primarily with the row crop side of the industry where dry fertilizer is prevalent. This is a small growing company that is very family friendly, and the package includes a strong base salary and a very aggressive commission structure.

What you will be doing:

  • Cultivate relationships with key independent retailers and growers leading to product sales
  • Engage with strategic demonstration farms to setup test plots and trials to demonstrate product efficacy
  • Provide reliable estimates and forecasts of future sales for company projections
  • Work with your network in the area to create demand
  • Identify the best partners throughout this region

A successful candidate for this Sales Rep role will possess the following:

  • 5-7 years working experience in ag sales or business development with fertilizer background in row crops
  • Experience working with fertilizer and independent ag retailers.
  • A history of working seamlessly with marketing, manufacturing, finance, to establish and implement strategies and initiatives
  • The ability to work from home and travel the geography
  • Drive to increase earnings substantially by selling more. A great commission plan that is easy to understand and track.

Compensation: The salary range for this role will depend on the candidate's qualifications with a target base salary from $100-$120K in addition to a aggressive bonus plan that is uncapped, with most representatives earning a bonus that can be equivalent to 50% up to 100% their salary!
