Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the President of a leading Profit 500 Third Party Logistics provider where customer partnerships are the core of the business.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for lead generation, identifying new customers, building relationships, and closing business. The key goal is to assist customers in understanding the organization is dedicated to be an extension of their business as a trusted partner. The Business Development Manager will be a team player and will work hand in hand with the Operations Team. Displays an entrepreneurial mindset and is eager to be a member of a highly successful team of transportation professionals. The goal is to increase revenues and maximize profitability.

Background Required:
  • Freight Brokerage Business Development (1+ years)
  • Modes of Transportation (i.e. Truckload, Rail, Cross Border)
  • Strong Selling Skills
  • Strong Negotiation Ability (Customer, Margin Integrity)
  • Develop and execute business plan strategies
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Residence: Oakville, ON
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Load Link, DAT
  • Education: College Graduate
