Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Sales Manager / EVP of Logistics for one of the fastest growing third-party logistics providers in the Southeast.
Responsible for the solicitation, brokering and management of all freight for customers. Identify, qualify and acquire new customers through phone calls, referrals, trade shows, and networking. Possess complete understanding of service offering and be a subject matter expert. Maintain frequent contact with new and existing customers to understand needs, provide optimal customer service, build rapport, and gain additional business. Will work with Sales Manager to generate new customer leads, follow up with both carriers and customers on assigned loads, maintaining productive working relationships with customer and carrier representatives. Challenge is to increase revenues while improving profitability.

Background Required:
  • Progressive responsibility for selling Non-Asset Truck Brokerage (1+ years)
  • Mode of transportation (i.e. Truckload, Flatbed, Refrigerated)
  • Pricing and margin integrity
  • Negotiations
  • Customer development, profitability, & market penetration
  • Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Residence: Charlotte, NC
