Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Managing Director, International for a people-oriented, full-service global supply chain and logistics provider. The Business Development Manager will be responsible to acquire new international freight forwarding clients through direct meetings and management of current accounts & relationships. Will use a consultative selling strategy in their target market to understand the customers’ business and will propose a series of solutions and capabilities to meet or exceed their needs. This position is responsible to coordinate the complete sales cycle process including lead generation, prospect qualification, RFQs, proposal preparation and presentation, contract signing, start-up and customer service follow-up after the sale. The challenge is to close new accounts, increase brand recognition and improve profitability.

Background Required:
- International freight forwarding sales (3+ years)
- Excellent client relationships with account ownership and transfer possibility.
- Demonstrated track record of sales success.
- Multimodal (import/export ocean & air, TL, LTL, rail, intermodal)
- Developed sales strategies and executed a sales plan.
- Prepares bids and proposals.
- Negotiations.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Computer systems: Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Residence: Hybrid Home/Office – Los Angeles, CA
- Freight forwarding operations.
- Value added services (customs brokerage, warehousing, cargo insurance).
- Education: 4 year Bachelor’s degree
- Hunter mentality

- Executive level presentation skills to C-level, VP’s and Directors
