Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Sales of a growing non-asset-based transportation and logistics company specializing in multimodal solutions.
The Business Development Manager is responsible for directing sales efforts to expand the customer base. This role will be responsible for generating new business and ensuring that sales targets are met or exceeded across all lines of business. Responsible for the complete sales process including prospecting, lead generation, pricing and closing the business. Ability to analyze, create presentations with experience working with customer service and managing the startup process after the sale. Challenge is to increase revenues and maximize profitability.

Background Required:
  • Outside and inside sales / business development within transportation brokerage (2+)
  • Mode of Transportation (i.e. FTL, Reefer, LTL, Flatbed)
  • Strong selling skills and negotiations (Customer, Carrier, Margin Integrity)
  • Verifiable growth track record (Book of business)
  • Develop, execute, and monitor strategic and tactical goals to maximize sales, profit and to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded
  • Managed KPI’s (i.e. Customer Development, Profitability, Market Penetration)
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Education: College Graduate - BA or BS
  • Residence: USA (Remote Office)
