Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales for a non-asset logistics organization in business for 35 years with a focus on providing cost effective solutions, maintain clear and transparent communication, and be the go-to, reliable logistics provider.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the acquisition and growth of accounts in the areas of full truckload, domestic van and refrigerated freight. Will be responsible for the development and signing of profitable new business, additional business, and maintaining current accounts. Coordinates complete sales cycle process including prospect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, pricing, proposal preparation and presentation(s), contract signing, start-up and customer service follow-up after the sale. The challenge is to expand account base, increase revenues and improve profitability.

Background Required:
- Business Development within Transportation Brokerage (5+ years)
- Proven track record of building a book of business
- Mode of Transportation (i.e., Truckload, Dry Van, Reefer)
- Strong Selling Skills
- Strong Negotiation Ability (Carrier, Customer, Margin Integrity)
- Develop and execute business plan strategies
- Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
- Residence: at location East Rutherford, NJ
- Experience in temperature-controlled transportation i.e. produce and food products.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Collaborative
- Excellent facilitator with conflict resolution
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Results driven
- Team player (operates through consensus)
