Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Brokerage Branch Manager for a premier asset-based logistics organization recognized nationally as one to the top 100 third party logistics providers.
The Business Development Manager is responsible for the complete sales process including prospecting, lead generation, pricing and closing the business. Responsible for drawing on unique competencies to demonstrate how the business can be beneficial to the customer. Ability to analyze, create presentations with experience working with customer service, and managing the startup process after the sale. Business Development Manager will spend the majority of their time calling on potential and existing customers in an effort to grow the business base. Challenge is to increase revenues and maximize profitability.

Background Required:
  • Business Development within Transportation Brokerage (2+ years)
  • Modes of Transportation (i.e. Truckload, LTL, Specialized)
  • Strong Selling Skills
  • Strong Negotiation Ability (Carrier, Customer, Margin Integrity)
  • Develop and execute business plan strategies
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Residence: Dallas, TX
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • TMW
  • Education: College Graduate - BA or BS
