Position Responsibilities:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for the development of profitable Freight Brokerage business within his or her region. Will be responsible for the closing and development of profitable new business and coordinating with Account Management team to implement the customer’s solution and onboarding. Will also coordinate with Managers, Pricing Analysts, and Operations team to create business solutions and long-term business relationships with perspective new customers. Challenge is to regionally expand account base, supporting profitable increased revenues within the Branch network.

Background Required:
  • Business Development or Sales role within transportation/freight brokerage (2+ years)
  • Experience selling multi-modal logistics solutions which include (Truckload, IMC, Specialized, LTL)
  • Regional and National accounts experience
  • Strong Selling and closing capabilities
  • Ability to promote a lucrative value proposition, develop desirable solutions and convert new customers.
  • Proficiency in Negotiation that leads to above market margin realization.
  • Experience with selling cycles and quoting processes(RFP, RFI, RFQ)
  • Strategic development and execution of a business plan
  • Residence: USA (Remote)

  • Education: 4-year college degree
