Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Business Development at a non-asset logistics organization in business for over 30 years with a focus on bold action, intuitive strategy, and immense integrity.
Responsible for the complete sales process including prospecting, lead generation, pricing and closing the business. Responsible for drawing on unique competencies to demonstrate how the business can be beneficial to the customer. Ability to analyze, create presentations, and manage the startup process after the sale. The Business Development Manager will spend the majority of their time calling on potential and existing customers in an effort to grow the business base. Challenge is to increase revenues and maximize profitability.

Background Required:
  • Brokerage Sales (2+ years)
  • Mode of Transportation (i.e. Dryvan, Reefer, LTL)
  • Strong Selling Skills
  • Strong Negotiation Ability (Customer, Margin Integrity)
  • Managed KPI’s (i.e. Customer Development, Profitability, Market Penetration)
  • Computer literate: Microsoft (i.e. Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook)
  • Residence: Rutherford, NJ
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree
