Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the General Manager of the Dallas/Fort Worth, TX, Station for one of the world's leading providers of integrated logistics services offering transportation services (i.e. air, ocean, over the road), warehousing and distribution, cross-border e-commerce, and global supply chain management with revenues nearing $2.5 billion.
The Business Development Manager is responsible to drive revenue growth by strategic, customer focused, selling of all products and services in a global team environment. Coordinates complete sales cycle process including prospect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, RFQs, pricing, proposal preparation and presentation(s), contract signing, start-up and customer service follow-up after the sale. Continually collaborates with the organization’s leadership and operations team to increase revenues, optimize costs, and maximize profits. Stays abreast of emerging technology changes and innovations through formal or informal study of business publications, attendance of industry events, and networking. Challenge is to identify business opportunities and generate profitable sales in both new and existing accounts to meet and exceed new business revenue goals.

Background Required:
  • International freight forwarding sales (5+ years)
  • Knowledge of market verticals such as high-tech, fashion, retail and automotive
  • Proven track record of sales success
  • Multimodal (i.e. air, ocean, import/export, FTL, LTL, rail)
  • Bids, proposals and negotiations
  • Time, territory & contact management (i.e. CRM)
  • Travel up to 50%
  • Computer literate: Microsoft suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Residence: Dallas and Fort-Worth Metroplex, TX
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Freight forwarding operations
  • Customs brokerage sales
  • Warehousing and distribution sales
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
Other Essential Abilities and Skills:
  • Hunter mentality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Executive level presentation (i.e. C level, VP, Directors)
  • Proven tenacity to close
