Business Development Manager

Job Description

Our client, a fast growing manufacturer of molded plastics products located in the Houston area, has an immediate for an experienced Business Development Manager.


Duties Include:

Optimize customer relationships to leverage ERGs product portfolio. Comfortable in a complex sales environment.
Assess market conditions and develop accurate monthly forecasts.
Ambassador for recycling initiatives, promoting customers and products through education and marketing.
Establish and maintain relationships with individuals at multiple levels within major clients.
Establish and meet annual sales and profitability goals, while delivering year over year growth.
Responsible for annual sales forecast and monthly updates.
Work effectively across the organization to ensure that customers’ expectations are met.
Demonstrate behaviors consistent with our guiding principles.

Qualifications

    • Minimum 5+ years of outside sales experience with a proven track record in a complex sales environment.
    • Passion for environmental and sustainability initiatives.
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
    • Background with Oil and Gas sector products would be a plus but not required
    • Responsible for r creating sales plans around expanding the customer base of the O&G sector products.
    • Identify new markets into which the company can find opportunities and venture into new product development and new product offerings.
    • Volatile pricing environment experience and contract acumen required.
    • Effective economic thinking skills with ability to apply concepts such as opportunity cost, competitive advantage, comparative advantage, switching cost and next best alternative.
    • Demonstrated capability in Consultative Sales relationships with strong prospecting skills.
    • Competitive mentality – must enjoy the thrill of pursuing business and closing new accounts.
    • Strong communication skills and excellent organizational skills.
    • Ability to work well independently, energetic self-starter with strong work ethic.
    • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with others during development and implementation of processes and programs.
