Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Regional manager NE for one of the world's leading providers of integrated logistics services offering freight management, customs brokerage, logistics and distribution services with revenues of over $5 billion.
The Business Development Manager is responsible to drive revenue growth by strategic customer focused selling of all of our client’s products and services in the NE market. Coordinates complete sales cycle process including prospect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, RFQs, pricing, proposal preparation and presentation(s), contract signing, start-up and customer service follow-up after the sale. Challenge is to increase revenues and maximize profitability.

Background Required:
  • International freight forwarding sales (5+ years)
  • Proven track record of sales success
  • Multimodal (i.e. air, ocean, import/export, FTL, LTL, rail)
  • Strong knowledge of major trade lanes
  • Good knowledge of market verticals such as retail, fashion, aerospace, pharma
  • Familiarity with contact management programs
  • Travel up to 10%
  • Computer literate: Microsoft suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Residence: Greater NY or NJ areas
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Freight forwarding operations
  • Customs brokerage sales
  • Warehousing (pick & pack, kitting, sub assembly)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
Other Essential Abilities and Skills:
  • Hunter mentality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Executive level presentation (i.e. C level, VP, Directors)
  • Proven tenacity to close
