Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the CEO for a full-service supply chain solutions provider specializing in asset & non-asset based transportation, domestic & international logistics, and warehousing & fulfillment. Our client is a growing organization that has been in business for over 10 years and is frequently featured in the Inc. 5000 list of America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies.
The Business Development Manager- Technology will lead rapid penetration of target segments, including domestic freight brokers, for-hire carriers, and shippers. Must be able to define and implement a high-volume sales program that efficiently and rapidly brings on new customers with a proven selling process. Key responsibilities include direct sales to high value, large prospects highlighting the case for change. Direct sales process will include qualifying leads and customer needs, solution recommendation, pricing, negotiation, and contract signing. Establish a standard sales process that minimizes sales cycle time for small to medium size prospects and which can be rolled out and implemented. Challenge is to increase revenue and improve profitability.

  • Computer systems: MS Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Education: BA or BS Degree or equivalent experience
  • Residence: St. Louis, MO – Relocation assistance provided
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Multimodal transportation service offerings (e.g., air, ocean, intermodal, drayage)
  • Experience with industry systems (e.g., CargoWise, Magaya, World Track)
