Business Development Manager- Renewable Energy
Location: Remote across US or Canada
Travel: 50% or more across US and Canada, occasional international travel
Position overview
The Business Development Manager will drive commercial growth for the Client’s onshore wind turbine business across North America. This person will be the primary commercial contact for customers from initial engagement through contract signature — building relationships, originating opportunities, managing the sales cycle, and ensuring an excellent customer experience. The role requires a proactive hunter mentality, strong technical-commercial judgment, and the ability to translate market needs into commercial strategy and action.
Minimum qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred. Advanced degree (MBA / Master) is an advantage; equivalent commercial experience accepted.
Experience:

Minimum ~5 years in commercial roles within the U.S. renewables sector, ideally with exposure to onshore wind.

Demonstrated track record of originating, negotiating and closing turbine supply and/or service agreements.

Experience with project development, financing, or project management is beneficial.
Technical & software skills:

Solid industry awareness (market dynamics, customer pain points, competitive landscape).
- Comfortable reading product specifications and discussing technical-commercial tradeoffs.
