Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President & General Manager of a family-owned specialized tank company that has been in business for over 70 years. The position will be with the sister company that focuses on hauling hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals across the central, south-central, and east coast. With 55 trucks they have operations in Texas, Louisiana, and South Carolina and have the ability to haul across all 48 contiguous states. They operate with both company drivers and owner-operators with the goal to grow both with additional lanes as well as maximizing profit across existing lanes.
The Business Development Executive will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and coordinating sales activities to maximize revenue, market share, and profitability. They will work closely with the General Manager. They will seek business development opportunities through the expansion of existing customer relationships and terminal operations and prospects for new leads. The BDM will work closely with all functional teams to identify and pursue division specific opportunities as well as track and maintain data related to sales efforts and prospect status, potential value of sales pipeline, and provide regular reports to management.

Background Required:
- Bulk tanker transportation sales
- Proven background of closing new business
- Successful consultative selling
- Strong knowledge of the central, south-central, and east coast regions
- CRM (Salesforce or related experience)
- Demonstrated ability to sell to multiple levels of decision makers (Executive, Middle, & Line Mgmt.)
- Knowledgeable of pricing & margin integrity
- Ability to develop and execute business plan strategies
- Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
- Travel: 25-50%
- Residence: Home Office (Mid-west, Northeast, or Southeast)
- Trucking Operations experience
- Knowledge of FMCSA & DOT regulations & requirements
- Relationships in trade associations
- TMW Suite experience
- Time & territory management reporting CRM (i.e., Salesforce, ACT)
- High character in representing their company to the industry
- Effective communication skills both oral & written
- Pleasant & friendly outgoing demeanor
- Problem solver under pressure
- Team player
