Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the co-owner of a privately owned, asset-based regional transportation carrier who launched a freight brokerage division in 2016.

The Business Development Executive will be responsible for creating profitable growth revenue with current accounts, while soliciting new sources of revenue and profit. Will establish and manage carrier relations and development activities that support the execution of strategies and action plans to enable the profitable growth of the business unit. Will work in coordination with other company resources, develop the strategic and tactical direction for the business unit, and establish management processes. Challenge is to build a world-class team, develop high-level service offerings, motivate, and lead a staff, while increasing revenues and improving profitability.

Background Required:
  • Freight Brokerage Sales and Operations (3+ years)
  • Mode of Transportation (i.e. Truckload, LTL, Intermodal, Specialized)
  • Strong Selling Skills
  • Strong Negotiation Ability (Carrier, Customer, Margin Integrity)
  • Schedule pick-up and delivery appointment times
  • Track & Trace shipments
  • Manage KPIs (i.e. customer development, profitability, market penetration)
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Residence: Moultrie, GA
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Sales Management (Hire, Train, Mentor) (2+ years)
  • P&L Responsibility
  • Develop and execute business plan strategies
  • Certified Transportation Broker (CTB)
  • Education: College Graduate
