Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the CEO of a private held final mile transportation organization. Serving tri-state area.
The Business Development Director is responsible for identifying leads and selling logistics solutions through a consultative sales approach integrating the company’s offerings into a designed solution, specific to each customer’s needs. Responsible for selling various company options such as truckload, LTL, intermodal, temperature-controlled transportation, freight management, warehousing, and other 3PL services. Build and bridge relationships within the company and the client’s organization to facilitate the smooth execution of business and to ensure the ongoing service and growth of accounts. Identify unserved or underserved areas of business, for consideration as new service offerings for the company.

Background Required:
  • Transportation sales or operations (4 years)
  • Third Party Fleet Management
  • Negotiations
  • Report comprehension and report generation
  • Drafting proposals
  • Courier Transportation
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Travel: 25% regionally
  • Residence: Mountainside, NJ (relocation assistance provided)
