Now Seeking: Business Development Advisor to join a growing wealth management firm in the Dallas-Fort Worth, TX area

The Business Development Advisor will serve as the first point of contact for prospective clients, focusing on outbound prospecting, lead development, and new client acquisition. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a performance-driven environment and is motivated by developing relationships, generating opportunities, and contributing directly to the growth of a successful firm.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and qualify prospective client relationships through outbound calling, networking, and follow-up with firm-generated leads
  • Execute a disciplined and consistent business development process focused on new client acquisition
  • Conduct discovery conversations with prospective clients to understand their needs and determine fit
  • Effectively communicate the firm's planning philosophy, service offering, team structure, and client experience
  • Manage the prospect journey from initial outreach through engagement and onboarding
  • Partner closely with advisors and team members to facilitate a seamless transition from prospect to client
  • Handle prospect objections professionally and confidently while maintaining a consultative approach
  • Maintain accurate records of prospect interactions, pipeline activity, and business development efforts within the CRM system
  • Monitor and track outreach activity, conversion metrics, and business development results
  • Participate in required training, licensing, continuing education, and professional development activities
  • Represent the firm with professionalism and integrity in all client and prospect interactions

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (economics, business, finance, marketing, communications, etc)
  • 1–5 years of experience in business development, sales, outbound prospecting, or relationship management
  • Financial services industry experience strongly preferred
  • Series 65 or Series 66 license preferred, or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire
  • Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding business development, prospecting, or sales goals
  • Strong verbal communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to engage prospective clients, conduct discovery conversations, and build credibility quickly
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Experience utilizing CRM systems to manage pipeline activity and prospect relationships
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a goal-oriented environment
  • Clean U4 and U5 record required for licensed candidates

Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, geographic location, licensing, and overall qualifications. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. Additional compensation may include performance-based incentives, bonus opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package.
