Role Overview
We are seeking a B2G-focused Business Development Representative (BDR) to partner closely with Sales and Marketing in building and advancing a high-quality municipal pipeline.
This individual will play a critical role in generating qualified opportunities, booking meetings, and driving early-stage deal momentum across targeted territories.
You will engage directly with city managers, department heads, procurement teams, innovation groups, and elected officials, helping position a differentiated platform within the public sector ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and qualify municipal leads across assigned territories
- Book meetings and product demos for Account Executives and Sales leadership
- Execute outbound outreach campaigns via email, phone, and LinkedIn
- Manage pre- and post-conference outreach to drive pipeline development
- Conduct structured follow-up with municipalities after demos, pilots, and meetings
- Research city organizational structures and identify key stakeholders
- Maintain accurate CRM records and activity tracking (HubSpot or similar)
- Support territory planning, account mapping, and strategic targeting
- Assist with early-stage RFP/RFI discovery and qualification efforts
Required Experience & Skills
- Experience in B2G sales, public sector business development, or related environment
- Strong understanding of municipal sales cycles and procurement processes
- Comfortable engaging senior government stakeholders
- Experience using CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot or similar)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new tools and platforms
- Experience with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Preferred Background
- Experience selling SaaS or GovTech solutions
- Familiarity with conferences, trade shows, or public sector engagement environments
- Willingness and flexibility to travel for key meetings and industry events
Compensation
- Base Salary: ~$65,000 – $75,000
- Uncapped commission structure

Hiring Process
