The Role.
- Are you a detail-oriented problem solver with deep insurance knowledge and a passion for building solutions that drive real business value?
- We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll leverage your insurance expertise to lead client engagements, design workflows, define requirements, and drive the successful implementation of our claims and policy administration platform.
- This is more than a standard BA role. You’ll serve as a strategic partner to both our clients and internal teams—translating insurance business processes into practical, data-driven solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform and other modern tools.
What You’ll Do:
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in insurance processes—especially in claims administration, policy lifecycle, and related operational workflows.
- Lead business analysis efforts across property & casualty or workers’ compensation insurance domains.
- Map and validate complex data transformations between legacy insurance systems and the Company’s platform.
- Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, define use cases, and configure software to meet nuanced insurance needs.
- Analyze, test, and validate system behavior to ensure it aligns with industry compliance, regulatory standards, and operational best practices.
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives by providing insurance context for design, development, and product strategy.
- Support clients throughout implementation—including UAT, change management, and go-live readiness.
- Collaborate on feature enhancements, identifying opportunities to expand our platform’s capabilities in the insurance space.
- Assist with troubleshooting system and data issues using tools such as SQL and Microsoft Power Platform components (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse).
What you Bring:
- 3+ years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on insurance software systems (policy, claims, or billing).
- Proven experience with insurance data structures and data mapping from source systems (vendors, legacy, third-party).
- Hands-on experience with insurance core systems, preferably in workers' compensation, P&C, or multi-line carriers.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards within the insurance domain.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and agile practices.
- Exceptional communication skills—able to engage effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
- Intermediate proficiency in SQL for data validation and issue investigation.
- BS in Business, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field preferred.
