Business Analyst (Analytics/Data)(Remote)
Business Analyst (Analytics, Data, Data Warehouse)
These are questions I asked and answered by the Product VP and HR VP.
1) My candidates will be recruited candidates that are happy at the current job and making their numbers, so we have to be able to show them there is a better opportunity at your COMPANY. What is the sizzle around your company?
• We continue to be in growth mode – both organically and acquisitively.
• Organic growth >10% (revenue and EBITDA)
• 3 acquisitions in the last 12 months. There will be more. There is a fair amount of consolidation going on in the industry– and COMPANY will be at the top of that group
• As an organization, great balance between well established company (we are over 30 years old) and start-up with strong entrepreneurial look and feel
• As an organization, we don’t get jammed into a box – employees largely define their own destiny and are able to make an impact where they see a business need – not just those areas confined by their job.
• In addition to very strong technical solutions, what we provide our customers that makes us somewhat unique, is our Insurance expertise. We believe we have the deepest industry knowledge of any of our competitors. This provides us the opportunity to have real, consultative discussions with prospects and customers about their business and how our solutions can help them.
• Our sizzle is our momentum and the opportunity that presents. We have embraced our acquisitions and have created a unique position in the market: They have a full portfolio to sell – under a recognized brand. They have the best of all scenarios – established organization with strong financial backing with new technology and solutions to expand the conversations they can have with prospects and customers. We have embraced the new trends – data, analytics, and integrations…
2) How will this candidate be able to flex his/her creative muscles?
• We hire smart people and let them go and do their jobs – we don’t micromanage. We are all way too busy to hold our team’s hands – we expect people to figure out what to do and to do it.
• Our acquisitions and consolidation of the portfolio will provide a vast canvas for a creative individual to flex a lot of muscle to bring this together.
3) Let's demonstrate how COMPANY values its employees. Please list every benefit the company offers even the "unofficial ones". (Onsite day care, company sports teams, free meals, 100% company paid benefits.
• Comprehensive health and welfare plans – 4 medical plan options (including 2 HSA options that include significant company contribution to HSA account); dental, STD, LTD, group life, vision, voluntary life
• Will be shortly introducing Long Term Care voluntary coverage
• 401k – 100% match on first 2.5% of salary
• Strong wellness program with a variety of events throughout the year
• Golf league
• Billiards league
4) What specific problems in the marketplace does your software or service resolve?
• Provides carriers with full suite of software/services to run their businesses cradle to grave.
• We recognize that carriers are unique and therefore the solution portfolio needs to align to that uniqueness. One Size Does Not Fit All – we solve the struggle of speed to market within a complex solution – with different support structures and product capabilities.
