Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Business Development of a leading third-party and asset-based logistics provider that specializes in transportation solutions throughout United States, Canada, and Mexico. Their headquarters are based in Southern California and they have additional operations in Texas, Nevada, and Florida.
The Regional Sales Executive is responsible for directing sales efforts to expand the customer base. This role will be responsible for generating new business and ensuring that sales targets are met or exceeded across all lines of business. Responsible for the complete sales process including prospecting, lead generation, pricing and closing the business. Ability to analyze, create presentations with experience working with customer service and managing the startup process after the sale. Challenge is to increase revenues and maximize profitability.

Background Required:
  • Outside and inside sales / business development within transportation brokerage (3+)
  • Mode of Transportation (i.e. Truckload, Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed, LTL, Intermodal, Drayage)
  • Negotiations (Customer, Carrier, Margin Integrity)
  • Verifiable growth track record (Book of business)
  • Quote formal and spot bids
  • Support carrier reps with the coordination of transportation freight in a cost- effective manner
  • Schedule pick-up and delivery appointment times
  • Track/trace shipments when requested
  • Develop, execute and monitor strategic and tactical goals to maximize sales, profit and to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded
  • Managed KPI’s (i.e. Customer Development, Profitability, Market Penetration)
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Education: College Graduate - BA or BS
  • Residence: Los Angeles, CA OR Remote Office
