Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Operations of a leading provider of specialized transportation that offer construction, equipment, flatbed, heavy haul, and hot shot transportation services in the Gulf Coast region.
The Branch Sales Manager is responsible for the management of all sales and operations, including market competitiveness, pricing, and channel growth strategies. Will create profitable growth revenue by soliciting new sources of revenue and profit. Also responsible for development and growth of an inside sales team. Manage all aspects of the sales functions including inside sales, customer service, and carrier sales. Will establish and manage carrier relations and development activities that support the execution of strategies and action plans to enable the profitable growth of the business unit. Responsible for the development and implementation of an aggressive growth plan of the non-asset brokerage business. Will work in coordination with other company resources, develop the strategic and tactical direction for the business unit, and establish management processes. Challenge is to build a world-class team, develop high-level service offerings, motivate, and lead a staff, while increasing revenues and improving profitability.

Background Required:
- Freight Brokerage Sales and Operations (5+ years)
- Sales Management (Hire, Train, Coach, Mentor, Team Building) (4+ years)
- Mode of Transportation (i.e. Flatbed/Open Deck, Truckload, LTL, Specialized)
- Strong Selling Skills
- Strong Freight Quoting / Negotiation Ability (Carrier, Customer, Margin Integrity)
- Develop and execute business plan strategies
- Familiar with RMIS or TMS systems
- Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
- Residence: Remote USA
- P&L Responsibility
- Education: College Graduate
- Self-motivated / Self-driven – seeks to continually grow book of business
- Workplace communication
- Capable of problem solving within their branch location / true leader
