Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the CEO of a premier crane, rigging and specialized transportation company providing rigging and logistics solutions to a diverse client base throughout the United States.
The Branch Manager will oversee all operations within the branch, including all crane and rigging estimates and projects, transportation operations, fleet maintenance, safety, etc. Makes sales calls and develops and delivers presentations to customers. Identifies new business opportunities for market and/or account penetration to ensure planned performance goals are met or exceeded. Actively participates in sales planning, forecasting, and budgeting. Builds working relationships with staff to maintain a high level of customer service and support in a positive team- oriented environment. Maintains appropriate staffing levels within the branch and provides continuous coaching, training, support, and performance feedback. Coordinates branch activities through planning to ensure the total objectives are accomplished in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner. Implements cost-effective systems of control over operating expenditures, manpower, wages, and salaries. Reviews employee hours as it relates to long hauls and prevailing wage. Reviews invoices to customers and accounts payable invoices. Enforces and supports safety initiatives and policies through coordination with branch/regional safety coordinators. Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements, as well as company policies and procedures.

Background Required:
  • Machinery Moving, Rigging and/or Crane Rental Branch or Project Operational Management (10 years)
  • Leadership of Personnel – Supervision/Coaching/Motivating
  • Business Development / Estimating / Job Costing
  • Business Unit Plan & Budget Development / P&L Responsibility
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management/Business Administration
  • Location: Plainville, CT (relocation assistance provided)
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Usages & capabilities of cranes, hydraulic gantries, lift trucks, jack-and-slide systems and other specialized heavy rigging equipment and methods
  • Millwright knowledge to include general knowledge of layout, machine installation, assembly/disassembly, leveling and alignment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business or Engineering
