Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President of a multi-million-dollar third party provider of global logistics. Services include transloading imported and domestic goods, asset-based dispatch and drayage, full-Service Warehousing and Distribution, ecommerce, and transportation services. Logistics services include, trucking, intermodal dock to dock services, freight consolidation and deconsolidation, and small package
The Branch Manager is responsible for the management of 2 facilities totaling 195,000 sq. ft. of warehouse operations. This position will oversee all operations in a franchise model. Responsible for growth, customer acquisition, P&L responsibility, human resource functions, metrics, and margins. Will manage 55 direct reports including: 8 Salaried employees, Warehouse Manager, Office Supervisor, 4 Warehouse Supervisors, and 4 Team Leads. As well, 35 full time and temp associates. In addition, responsible for growing the Branches service end to end service suite with the customer base to include drayage, transloading, warehousing, distribution and transportation offerings. Manages standard operating procedures and directs an aggressive operating plan. Operating in a hands-on environment identifies and directs the implementation of cost saving opportunities. Has face-to-face contact with client management and conforms to agreed upon operational metrics. Challenge is to motivate and lead program operational needs while increasing revenues and improving profitability.

Background Required:
  • Multi-site third party logistics warehouse operations management (5 years)
  • Development and execution of strategy
  • Business Growth (new business, organic business, relationship building, collaboration efforts)
  • Annual plans (budget, operational performance, SOP’s, customer plans, workshops)
  • Metrics measurements (i.e., labor, quality, employee productivity and efficiency)
  • P & L
  • Pick and Pack, cross dock, inbound and outbound, pool distribution
  • Proven integration of operations and systems requirements
  • Warehouse management systems
  • Transportation management systems
  • Safety program compliance (OSHA, Compliance Programs)
  • Computer literate (i.e. Microsoft Suite: Word, Excel)
  • Education: BS or BA degree
  • Location: Auburn, WA area
