Position Responsibilities:
Responsible to startup and direct the overall sales, operations and administration of the Atlanta branch and its region including staffing, P/L ownership and office & warehouse management. Primary responsibility is to develop a branch strategy to include hiring, training, and developing a talented team, establishing, and overseeing operating procedures, and providing monthly reports. This individual will represent the Atlanta market to other organization’s stakeholders and work closely with the leadership team to develop a growth strategy in Atlanta with a potential for role expansion in the future.

Background Required:
  • Working for an International Freight Forwarder (10 years)
  • Branch and Team Management (3 years, 7+ staff)
  • P & L including Budgeting, Forecasting & Reporting
  • Proven record in Sales Management
  • Multimodal (Ocean, Air, Import, Export & Domestic Transportation)
  • Knowledge of greater Atlanta market
  • Established standard operating procedures & metrics
  • Business plan preparation and implementation
  • Negotiation and problem solving
  • Computer literate – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Residence: Greater Atlanta market
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree
  • Heavy Lift, Oversize and Chartering (i.e. air & ocean)
  • Customs Brokerage management
  • Warehousing
