Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Regional Manager for one of the world's leading providers of integrated logistics services offering freight management, customs brokerage, logistics and distribution services with revenues of over $5 billion.
The Branch Operations Manager is responsible to direct the overall operations of our client’s NJ location and is responsible for the operational and financial results of the branch with complete P&L responsibility. Will manage the day to day activities of a staff of 40 employees and will be charged with managing to standard operating procedures and directing an aggressive operating plan. The challenge is to build a world-class operations team at the branch level, motivating and leading staff while optimizing costs, increasing revenues and improving profitability.

Background Required:
  • International Freight Forwarding operations (10 years)
  • Branch operations management
  • P/L management including budgeting & forecasting
  • Staff management & training (10+ employees)
  • Strong knowledge of ocean freight
  • Business plan preparation and implementation
  • Established standard operating procedures & metrics
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Residence: Greater Newark, NJ area
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Experience with CargoWise
  • Knowledge of air export
  • Bi-Lingual: English & Spanish / French
  • Advanced Degree: MBA
