JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Box Truck Driver in Tanner, AL. The Box Truck Driver will be responsible for delivering windows, doors, lumber, and building materials to various job sites. This position involves physical labor and requires candidates who can perform hand loading, unloading, and securing of materials.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely deliver windows, doors, lumber, and other building materials, including hand loading, manually securing, and unloading items.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle and perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections.
  • Review paperwork to ensure correct orders and identify any load discrepancies.
  • Adhere to DOT regulations, company policies, and traffic rules.
  • Provide excellent customer service at job sites, maintaining professionalism during deliveries.
  • Deliveries include jobsite locations such as single-family, multi-family, and typical new construction sites.
  • Work in varying weather conditions including hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy environments.

Position Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid DOT health card with a clean MVR.
  • Ability to drive under various weather conditions and adapt to diverse job sites.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull weights ranging from 25 lbs. to 200 lbs. or more.
  • Experience in navigating construction environments is preferred.

Education & Experience:

  • 2 years of experience in delivery driving.
  • 2 years of customer service experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, squatting, walking, and standing for long periods.
  • Must be able to handle heavy loads and physically demanding tasks, with weights ranging from 25 lbs. to over 200 lbs.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, including hot, cold, wet, humid, and windy environments.
