Bookkeeper

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with 2-4 years of full-cycle accounting experience and strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO). The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day accounting functions, ensure accuracy across financial reports, and support month-end and year-end closings.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle bookkeeping including Accounts Payable (NP), Accounts Receivable (NR), payroll processing, and reconciliations.
• Record journal entries, manage vendor bills, and issue customer invoices.
• Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations monthly.
• Maintain accurate general ledger and ensure transactions are properly categorized.
• Prepare and review financial statements (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
• Handle QuickBooks clean-ups, catch-ups, and audit preparation.
• Support CPA or CFO with tax filings, audits, and financial reviews.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and ensure timely collections.
• Process employee expense reports and reimbursements.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting support as needed.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online (Desktop experience a plus).
• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience with payroll systems (Gusto, ADP, QuickBooks Payroll, etc.).
• Strong Excel and data-entry skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multiple-entity accounting or construction/service industry bookkeeping.
• Familiarity with sales tax, 1099s, and financial audits.

• Comfortable working with cloud-based accounting tools (Hubdoc, Dext, com, etc.)
