AUBURN/OPELIKA, AL

A well-established CPA in Auburn \ Opelika is seeking a full-time Full Charge Bookkeeper with experience serving multiple clients to join our team. Under general supervision, create and maintain the accounting records for multiple firm clients using QuickBooks Desktop and Online applications. Must be able to recognize and perform write-up and bookkeeping procedures using double entry accounting, create journal entries, have a working knowledge of year end procedures and trial balance; perform bank reconciliations, file sales and payroll tax returns; have payroll experience. Work on special projects as assigned. Solid understanding with the following applications is required QuickBooks Desktop and Online. Current QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certification will be a strong plus. Associate degree or higher is preferred but experience will be considered for the right candidate.

  • 3+ years of directly relevant experience
  • Strong experience working with QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online & Excel
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
  • Previous experience with a CPA firm preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of business and accounting terms such as profit, assets, liabilities, etc.
  • Ability to effectively manage time, meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Payroll experience - processing and filing qtrly/annual returns
