We are currently seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) with a strong background in the maintenance, repair, and preventive services of medical equipment. Salary: Dependent on Experience per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze and troubleshoot medical equipment and systems using established electronic tests and measurement tools.
- Perform scheduled maintenance, calibrations, and modifications on medical equipment and systems, following strict departmental procedures, manufacturer recommendations, and applicable codes and standards.
- Train medical and clinical staff on the correct and safe usage of medical systems and equipment.
- Collaborate regularly with clinical staff to ensure that all equipment-related needs are met efficiently and effectively.
- Document and maintain accurate records of all inspections, repairs, adjustments, and other maintenance activities performed on equipment.
- Install new medical equipment and systems or assist in installations, including necessary modifications.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of excellence in service quality and performance.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or equivalent in Electronics, Biomedical Equipment Technology, or related field from military training.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in hospital-based or medical equipment service roles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and familiarity with networking technology.
- Valid US state driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work in the US without Visa sponsorship.
- Complete background check and drug screening are required for qualification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced certifications in biomedical equipment technology or electronic systems are highly desirable.
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within a clinical engineering environment.
- Continuous education and training in new technologies and equipment in the medical field.
- Demonstrated success in leading large-scale equipment installation projects.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
