Biomedical Equipment Field Service Technician II/III

Salary: Dependent on Experience per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of medical equipment using established electronic tests and measurement tools.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance, calibrations, and modifications as per departmental procedures and manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Perform quality assurance testing and calibration to ensure equipment operates accurately and reliably.
  • Interact regularly with clinical staff to ensure their equipment needs are met and provide training on the safe usage of medical devices.
  • Install or assist in installations and system upgrades to enhance healthcare technologies.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all service actions and parts requisitions addressing repair and maintenance needs.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent in Electronics, Biomedical Equipment Technology or related field, or equivalent military experience.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years experience in biomedical equipment repair and maintenance in a healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with networking technology and its applications in medical equipment setups.
  • Valid US driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Ability to work in the US without visa sponsorship and able to pass a complete background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced certifications in biomedical or electronics technology fields.
  • Experience with advanced medical imaging systems or similar high-technology instrumentation.

Skills:

  • Strong technical skills with an aptitude for electronic, electromechanical, and pneumatic systems troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to train non-technical staff and engage with clinical professionals.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
