Bilingual Real Estate Clerk
$50,000-$60,000

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing commercial real estate and financing files from beginning to end
  • Completing and interpreting title searches
  • Organizing and tracking flow of work
  • Preparing legal documentation and handling all aspects of real estate and financing transactions
  • Managing team members’ calendars and schedules
  • Maintaining regular contact with clients, real estate agents, financial organizations, and other counsel, in a professional manner
  • Maintaining a system for follow-ups on outstanding matters and initiating follow-up, as required
  • Maintaining client files and records
  • Preparing client invoices and final reports
  • Performing miscellaneous clerical and administrative duties, as required
  • Assisting in other areas, as required

Qualifications:

  • College Diploma as a Law Clerk or Legal Assistant (or equivalent)
  • A minimum of two years of experience in commercial real estate law and financing (preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle fast paced and deadline-driven work
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and ability to adapt quickly
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Experience using Unity or Lawyer Done Deal and Teraview software
  • Experience using Clio (asset)
  • Knowledge or experience in corporate law (asset)
  • Bilingualism (French/English) required
