We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bilingual Medical Assistant (English/Spanish) to join our OB/GYN office in Orlando, Florida. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our team of healthcare professionals in delivering comprehensive obstetric and gynecological services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
- Obtain and record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information.
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are stocked with necessary supplies.
- Handle patient scheduling, including appointments and follow-up visits.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with patient education on various health topics.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Assist with administrative duties such as answering phones, managing correspondence, and billing inquiries.
- Provide support in managing office inventory and supplies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in an OB/GYN or similar healthcare setting is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic laboratory procedures.
