Bilingual Japanese International Tax Senior

This fully remote role offers a unique opportunity to handle challenging tax issues and develop your professional skills in an encouraging environment. Fluency in Japanese is required to effectively serve our client base and facilitate communication.

Salary: DOE per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Federal and multi-state tax returns for C corporations, S corporations, partnerships, high-net-worth individuals, bankruptcies, and trusts and estates.
  • Address complex accounting and tax issues as they arise.
  • Conduct both basic and advanced tax research to support client needs and internal knowledge base.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Identify opportunities for tax planning and consulting, adding value to client interactions.
  • Collaborate with partners and team members on challenging engagements in a professional setting.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Tax, or Business Administration.
  • At least 2 years of tax experience, preferably in a public accounting firm.
  • CPA license or actively working towards obtaining a CPA license.
  • Attention to detail with strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Self-directed with an entrepreneurial work ethic and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to comprehend complex tax and accounting issues and meet tight deadlines.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced competency in technical skills and work quality.
  • Experience in international tax services, particularly with Japanese clients, is highly advantageous.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously with a focus on timeliness and accuracy.
  • Strong background in using tax software and other accounting tools.
  • Proficiency in both English and Japanese language to aid effective client management and documentation.
