We are looking for a bilingual copywriter to write Spanish-language, English-language copy for agency assignments including, TV, radio, print, digital, outdoor, and direct mail.
Our ideal candidate will be familiar with and/or has written successful “transcreation” ad campaigns. The copywriter will be working closely with the Senior Bilingual Copywriter and the rest of the creative copy team to develop, write and help implement parallel campaigns in Spanish and in English.
Although good verbal communication skills are essential, it is extremely important that the applicant have superior writing skills in both languages.
Educational Requirements & Qualifications:
- Fully Bilingual Spanish & English
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, English or related field
- Proficient with: Microsoft Word
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both languages
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and excel in a fast paced environment
Essential Functions of a Copywriter at Caldwell & Kerr Advertising:
- Develops creative ideas and concepts
- Creative, conceptual thinker with the ability to write in different styles
- Responsible for theme lines, web videos and client presentations
- Collaborates with account lead and follows their creative request/brief
- Has the ability to tailor writing to fit what the client wants
- Works independently to glean information not included in the request/brief
- Works with the art department to assure a smooth transition to the finished execution
- Works with the Creative Director to make sure jobs are on strategy and on time
- Attends staff meetings and other staff functions
