Job Description

We are seeking a Benefits Analyst to join our BPA team in Vaughan, Ontario. Reporting to the VP of Consulting, the Benefits Analyst will assist with the effective and efficient performance of a wide range of support activities including service delivery, financial management, plan design, pricing strategies, analyzing trends, negotiate renewals, and benchmarking. The Benefits Analyst will also be responsible for implementing and monitoring administrative tasks and projects to support the Consulting Team, Management, the Board of Trustees and associated stakeholders.

The Benefits Analyst will:

  • Prepare and maintain meeting materials, Board minutes, presentations and client data for various Trust Funds
  • Pull current statistical data and organize in a format required by consultants
  • Handle financial reporting, budgeting and analysis of benefits plans for Consultant’s review
  • Support the consulting team in preparing documents for client presentations and meetings
  • Prepare Trustee Liability Insurance applications and renewal analysis
  • Maintain positive relations with clients and client decision makers
  • Assist with any other tasks as may be required from time to time as detailed by Management

To be successful as a Benefits Analyst with BPA, you will need:

  • 3-5 years progressive experience in a financial capacity in a client facing or consulting capacity providing strategic and innovative solutions to clients' complex benefits challenges
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, communication, and listening skills
  • A positive attitude and strong team player who works well with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines and provide deliverables as identified in a timely manner
