Battery Service Technician

Job Type: Full Time Permanent

Compensation: $63,389-$70,000/year + Benefits

About the Company: Our client is a supplier of material handling equipment. They have been in the industry for over 60 years and pride themselves on being the largest supplier of material handling solutions in Canada.

They are expanding at a rapid pace and are seeking to add a Battery Service Technician to their dynamic team!

Responsibilities:

• Educating customer’s employees on charger operations and proper procedures
• Repair batteries at customer’s sites
• Make appropriate adjustments to batteries and charger settings to prolong working life
• Maintain accurate records for each battery and provide ongoing assessments
• Coordinate/assist service technicians and sales reps on charging system problems
• Complete regular maintenance and repairs on batteries and charging stations
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience working on industrial batteries and chargers or electrical trades certificate
• Must possess a valid drivers license with a clean abstract
• Ability to perform all battery related repairs
• Physically capable of lifting 40 lbs working with industrial batteries (6000 lbs) knowledge of lifting devices
• Ability to work independently
