Salary: $135,000 - $150,000 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive representation of clients in banking and consumer litigation from case inception to resolution.
- Preparation and precision drafting of legal motions, pleadings, and other necessary court documents.
- Detailed management and conduct of discovery processes including extensive document review and deposition undertakings.
- Active courtroom appearances for various hearings and legal proceedings, ensuring robust advocacy and client representation.
- Provision of expert advice on compliance, legal risks, and mitigation strategies pertaining to banking regulations and consumer protection laws.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- JD from a renowned law school with a commendable academic record.
- Current Bar Admission in one of the relevant jurisdictions.
- A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in litigation, specifically with substantial exposure to drafting legal documents, discovery management, and court appearances.
- Profound knowledge of Articles 3 and 4 of the UCC, and familiarity with consumer protection statutes such as EFTA, FCRA, FDCPA, UDAAP, TILA, and RESPA.
- Exceptional skills in legal research, analysis, writing, and oral advocacy.
- Proven ability to manage multiple case files simultaneously and collaborate effectively within team settings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a leading law firm or specialized litigation practice is highly desirable.
- Advanced certifications or continued education in litigation or consumer law sectors.
- Demonstrated leadership in past litigation projects or roles.
- Ability to innovate in legal practices and client service delivery.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, capable of managing sensitive client relationships.
