Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support internal staff regarding department products and functions, including system setup and maintenance
  • Analyze escalated problems to identify recurring issues
  • Act as a primary contact to escalate facility issues, when necessary
  • Maintain current professional and specialized knowledge of bank operations, risk management, security and client problem resolution strategies and utilize this knowledge and expertise to ensure operational and risk management excellence
  • Complete reports for management on fraud losses and overall fraud volume
  • Supports implementation of key projects
  • Ensures account maintenance instructions have properly executed documentation, signatures and approvals
  • Assist Operations team members with drafting and finalizing procedures to be used by Operations and Banking Center personnel
  • Review of periodic reports to ensure internal controls are being followed
  • Resolve and note any discrepancies and correcting as approved by Operations Management
  • Verify and post cash transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
  • Assist with internal and regulatory audits document requests
  • Edit all new deposit accounts daily to ensure accounts are correctly entered on the system and to ensure accounts are opened in accordance with internal procedures and applicable regulations
  • Verify the correctness of new account documentation, such as signature cards and resolutions
  • Reconciles various accounts. Balances internal deposit accounts and general ledger accounts. Reviews insufficient checks for payment and processes overdrawn accounts according to policies and procedures. Reviews and processes all incoming returns. Prepares a variety of debit and credit tickets to make necessary corrections. Inputs on-line general ledger entries
  • Assist the BSA Officer and staff with monitoring adherence to Bank Secrecy Act regulations
  • Assistance with the administrative functions related to the Bank Secrecy Act includes, but are not limited to:
  • Processing of report acknowledgements from FinCEN.
  • Review of 314(a) search requests and completing self-verification.
  • Review of OFAC matches in BSA/AML, trust, and wire systems.
  • Monetary instrument tracking as well as monitoring for compliance with the Bank’s Customer Identification Program (CIP).
  • Providing assistance to front-line personnel with CTR report completion
  • Performs other similar duties as assigned
