We are looking for an experienced Azure Systems Engineer to join our Columbus client's dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will align with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Ensure cloud infrastructure adheres to security best practices and compliance requirements, implementing necessary controls and monitoring systems.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for cloud resource provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud systems, identifying and resolving issues to maintain high availability and efficiency.
• Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to support the deployment and management of applications in the cloud environment.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for cloud infrastructure issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and procedures to support ongoing operations and future enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on Azure cloud services.
• Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect) are highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Azure services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security. Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, ARM templates, or similar tools.
• Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure best practices, including security, compliance, and cost management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
